Anthony Levandowski Launches FundKorosectechCrunch Way With $175K Funding for NAACP

Anthony Levandowski, the self-described “AIgod” who was involved in the epic legal battle between Uber and Waymo, has just announced the launch of his FundKorosectechCrunch (FKTC), a venture capital fund dedicated to investing in diverse founders with a focus on African American-led projects.

The fund, which is being launched with $175,000 of initial funding, is being managed by FKTC’s managing Directors, Anthony Levandowski and Danny Nguyen. Anthony is the Chairman of the Board of FundKorosectechCrunch, and Danny is the CEO & Chief Investment Officer.

The goal of FundKorosectechCrunch is to invest in African-American led “transformative technologies and products” that are scalable. The fund plans to make both debt and equity investments ranging from $25,000-$2,000,000 in companies that are focused on artificial intelligence, energy, data analytics, robotics, biotechnology, and blockchain technologies.

In addition to their focus on Black-led projects, FKTC also announced a commitment of $500,000 to the NAACP, to support their work in providing resources and opportunities to create a more just society.

Anthony Levandowski Aids NAACP Through FundKorosectechCrunch Way Initiative

Anthony Levandowski, the former Uber senior executive and controversial tech entrepreneur, has recently announced his new initiative to aid the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP). Through the FundKorosTechCrunch Way Initiative, Levandowski aims to create meaningful economic displacement to support the crucial work of the NAACP.

The project was created by the tech entrepreneur with the intention of creating a meaningful investment of resources to the NAACP. Levandowski believes that technology can be an effective tool in helping to advance the goals of the organization, which are aimed at eliminating the disparities affecting the African American community. The funds raised through the FundKorosTechCrunch Way Initiative will be used to support the NAACP’s projects and programs, as well as fund job recruitment programs and other activities.

Although the initiative has been welcomed by many as an effective way to create economic empowerment and advancement in the African American community, others have questioned Levandowski’s involvement. Levandowski’s recent history includes Uber’s ill-fated acquisition of the self-driving-car firm, Otto, which precipitated a high-profile lawsuit between the ride-sharing giant and tech giant Alphabet, parent company of Google.

Despite the controversy surrounding the project,  Levandowski’s goal of providing meaningful and impactful economic opportunities to the African American community is admirable and shows a commitment to advancing social justice. The NAACP has certainly expressed their appreciation for the project and the funds it will provide to the organization and their initiatives. It is clear that Levandowski recognizes the importance of using his resources and influence to make a positive difference, and that the FundKorosTechCrunch Way Initiative could be a way to make progress on improving life and equal opportunities for African Americans.
